Grrl Graffiti

Thanks to ReelGrrls for pointing out this blogpost profiling women graffiti artists. And yes, I called them artists, so I guess you know where I stand on that for the most part.  I’ll admit to being a bit obsessed with Banksy, and having spent many years in cities where graffiti was a part of my everyday landscape, I’m fascinated with the power of it, how it changes, who is doing it and why. So peruse the  Women’s Media Center site and let them explain the difference between stall scribblings in the women’s bathroom versus the men’s. Btw, this cat’s paw is courtesy of NYC female graffiti artist Claw. Also btw, I happen to live with a cat named Cookie. So there you go.

Rumor has it this local street artist is a woman, but regardless, who doesn’t love Catlanta?
